Wow. I must say it is great to read your comments. There are so many things we can do here in Canada. I think we have been allowing our national "limiting belief" that its 'harder in Canada' to market or generate leads - to slow down the momentum we have the ability to create. We don't have to compete with the others, or with each other, we just need to believe that we CAN do it. That is why this is the country of CAN-ada ... because nobody CAN like we CAN.

Thank you for your homework Lyle. I spoke to a few Canadians in Hawaii and received basically the same info.

I've been researching GST registration, and unfortunately the waters are a bit murky. Normally, direct sales companies and their independant agents can make an agreement to have all GST processed through the company. If you want the horse's mouth, here is the link:

What muddies the water here is the fact the Liberty League, as a non-resident company, is not itself required to register.
Based on my experience, what normally happens with imported goods is that any taxes due, including GST, are assessed at Customs and collected through the courier, in this case FedEx. Of course, we're only talking about the Beyond Freedom package, since foreign conventions are not taxable anyway.
That's the long answer. The short one is that, in my opinion, we don't need to register for GST.
